Head Chef –   £38k   Country Coaching Inn Hotel and Award winning Restaurant  near Peterborough Cambridgeshire

This Coaching Inn Hotel with a Rosettes  Restaurant looking to gain further awards is seeking an outstanding head chef to lead the brigade
The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation of  modern European cuisine and will be competent at producing a menu to Rosette  standard as well as high standard banqueting  .
You will be a accomplished head chef or a very strong senior sous looking for his first head chef position

The head chef  will be accountable for
Running of the kitchen on a day to day basis
Development and training of  the junior members of the kitchen brigade
Ensure consistency of produce throughout the kitchen
Supervise service ensuring presentation of food is compliant with standards
menu writing and costing and will possess a good financial acumen
Compliance with HACCP , health and safety and temperatures control

The successful Head chef  candidate will:
Have previous experience working in a similar role preferably in fine dining with a least 1 rosettes
Demonstrate excellent communication and motivational skills
Be able to work effectively as part of a team whilst undertaking a leadership role 
Possess the drive to maintain up to date skills and knowledge
Be educated to NVQ level 1-2, City and Guild or equivalent, with health and safety intermediate as a minimum requirement.
